On October 25th, the Karting Test Track 500 Miles race was victim of its success forcing the go-karting team to organize un second race for the launch of 2009/2010 season of the 500 Miles Open Kart challenge.
2 groups of 16 teams of 97 drivers were presents at the first of 7 racing meetings of 500 Miles Open Kart. For both of races, the result was unknown until the final lap.
During the morning race, Ste Maxime F1 Team who ended 4th, was second at the begining of the final lap. A driving mistake under the competition pressure made the team lost points, allowing to Carqueiranne Ecureuil and Les Milles Margoulins teams to finish the race behind the winner Aix Rasta Rocket.
During the afternoon race, in spite of carburation problems in final laps, Niort Team Spirit Racing team barely won the race in front of Castellet Racing and Arles Ecureuil teams.
The challenge of 2009/2010 season of 500 Miles Open Kart promises to be spectacular.
32 teams took part to the first race and 18 teams names are already on the entry list of the second one that will take place on November, 22th. So do not lose time to register your team for the next races !
