TheCircuit Paul Ricard hosts this weekend the penultimate round of the new femaleF1 Academy ; let’s learn more about women in motorsport at Circuit Paul Ricard.

Femaledrivers are regularly seen on the French track in different championshipsraces: Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe, ELMS, Euroformula Open, FormulaRegional European Championship by Alpine, Ferrari Challenge, Ultimate Cup,Trophée Tourisme Endurance and even French Trucks championship…  Doriane Pin, Lilou Wadoux, Tatiana Calderon,Michelle Gatting, Rahel Frey, Sarah Bovy and more are regular drivers at the CircuitPaul Ricard.

Unmissableplace for young drivers detection thanks to the Winfield Racing School, theFrench Go-kart School and the Volant GTDRIVE (a detection programme based ondriving simulators), the Circuit Paul Ricard witnesses also the emergence ofnew female talents with the FIA selection program « Girls on Track –Rising Stars ». In 2020 and 2022, the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission choosethe French circuit and its go-kart track to invite 6 seniors and 8 juniorsfemale drivers from all over the world to participle to a 5-day training camp.The girls who were be judged the most talented and promising by the FerrariDriver Academy experts had the chance to join the prestigious programme of theItalian team. In junior category, the French driver Lisa Billard (13 years old)detected in 2022 at Paul Ricard, is now successful in French go-kartchampionship and hope to pursue in F4 very soon.

Regarding automobileengineering, the Circuit Paul Ricard has opened in 2022 a F1 in Schools FranceCenter of Excellence. This unique educative challenge is based on STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and accessible to all youngers from 6to 19 years old. In order to offer to the young competitors an access to highlevel technical fittings and guidance during their project, the Circuit PaulRicard hosted the first F1 in Schools France final from June 12-14. Amongst the14 teams of the national competition, three young women get noticed thanks to theirhard work and commitment and received the Women and Sport trophy: CandiceMonjon, Charline Mollier and Jodie Farkas. Invited by Prema Racing team, the 3motorsport enthusiasts had also the privilege to discover F1 Academy thisweekend at Circuit Paul Ricard and meet the current championship leader MartaGarcia.

Finally,the Circuit Paul Ricard company has the pleasure to count many women working ondifferent jobs in administration, event management, sales, communications butalso around the track as marshals. After their professional experience at theFrench track, some of them reached positions in motorsport, for example: AurianeBancourt, from Circuit Paul Ricard Communications officer to AMP Motorsportteam coordinator (FRECA, F1 Academy) ; Caroline Azema, from Paul Ricardevents internship to GT4 European Series team coordinator ; or Diana Meriaux, fromsales assistant to F4 and Formula regional championships coordinator at the FIA.
