Inauguration of the first F1 in Schools Center of Excellence in France

Based at the Xtrem Park, the F1 in Schools Center of Excellence will welcome participants registered in the F1 in Schools competition, in preparation for the national finals. But the Xtrem Park will also offer this activity to everyone.

A press conference was organized to introduce the F1 in Schools program, its history and, above all, the establishment of the first Center of Excellence in France at Circuit Paul Ricard. Andrew Denford, CEO of F1 in Schools, and Frédérique Trouvé, President of F1 in Schools France, alongside Stéphane Clair, the General Manager of the circuit, presented this educational challenge.

Representatives of Winfield Racing School and Richard Mille, partners of F1 in Schools, were present. Margot Laffite, Romain Grosjean, Felipe Massa and Eric Boullier showed their support to the program through videos broadcast during the conference.

Drivers were also there for the inauguration of the Center of Excellence! Among them, Lilou Wadoux, young driver from the WEC (World Endurance Championship) with Richard Mille Racing Team, and Jean Alesi, former Formula 1 driver and ambassador of Circuit Paul Ricard.
The young talents of the Circuit Paul Ricard were also there: Antoine Doquin, just crowned 2022 champion of the Asian Le Mans Series, and Pierre-Louis Chovet, Formula 3 Asian vice-champion in 2021. The two young drivers were proud to announce their title of ambassador of the F1 in Schools project at Circuit Paul Ricard.

At the end of the conference, the guests were able to discover the Center of Excellence and compete with miniaturized racing cars on the 20-meter test track!
