Students from different French universities took part in the 12th edition of the French University Go-Kart Championship. The race, organized by the FFSA (Fédération Française du Sport Automobile) and the FFSU (Fédération Française du Sport Universitaire) was held at Circuit Paul Ricard, on April 4, 2019.

The sixty-nine participants had the chance to drive the “Sodi GT4R” on the dynamic, innovative and secured karting track of the Circuit Paul Ricard. The young drivers had to fight hard in the qualifications in order to get themselves in a leading position on the grid. After a fierce battle between Leonardo da Vinci’s team, ESCE Paris and ENI Metz during the final race, the students from Metz took the first place over the twenty-three other crews.

The team of the University of Lille Droit 2 had included in its crew the driver Christian Malengele. The go-kart was perfectly adapted to the needs of Christian, who is student with a disability. The Circuit had provided Christian’s go-kart with a throttle and brake lever located at the steering wheel, in order to ensure his security.
