28/07/2024 Ferrari Challenge at Paul Ricard enters most competitive phase
The Le Castellet circuit hosts round five of the 2024 Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe, the penultimate event before the Finali Mondiali, which this year will take place at the Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy, in mid-October.
The most fiercely contested stage of the series' 32nd season runs in France, with the drivers divided into the traditional four classes – Trofeo Pirelli, Trofeo Pirelli Am, Coppa Shell, and Coppa Shell Am – ready to compete for the crucial points in the overall standings.
Anticipation is high in France for the new 296 Challenge, this year's star of the Prancing Horse’s European and North American one-make series.
Derived from the 296 GTB, the 296 Challenge introduces significant modifications to the engine, aerodynamics, and dynamics to deliver maximum performance on the track. This competition car closely mirrors solutions tested on the 296 GT3, which has already proven its worth in GT racing.
