FORMULA 4 SPANISH AND EUROCUP-3 CHAMPIONSHIPS - 6 & 7 JULY 2024

Representing the first two steps onthe FIA single seater driver development ladder, the Formula 4 Spanish andEurocup-3 championships bring an opportunity to spot the some of the mosttalented young guns in open-wheel competition today.

As the first step from karting toracing, youngsters are eligible to compete in F4 from the age of 15, and thesingle-engine & single- chassis series has proven to be the idealenvironment in which to nurture their skills.

All the drivers who have reached thetop class of Motorsport in recent years as Leando Norris, George Russell, LanceStroll, Mick Schumacher, Guanyu Zhou, Oscar Piastri or Nyck de Vries, amongothers are testament to the success of the format.

Launched in 2016 from humblebeginnings, the support of all the stakeholders involved has allowed F4 SpanishChampionship to become a reference at European and world level.

The championship offers the optimalenvironment to progress in world of motorsport; a unique combination ofcircuits, all of them being venues of Formula 1 or Moto GP events, awell-balanced calendar, a wide testing programme and official events, identicalcars using the Tatuus F4-T421 chassis introduced for the 2022 season with aFiat Abarth 1.4cc, 160hp turbocharged engine and the passion to work for andwith the teams and drivers involved, are the best ingredients to develop asuccessful career in Motorsport.

Testament to the good health ofjunior categories is the arrival of the new Eurocup-3 this season. The nextstage in the development programme coming from Formula 4 series, Eurocup-3prepares drivers for entry into the FIA F3 Championship – just two steps fromthe pinnacle of single seater racing, Formula 1.

A new era dawned with the ideologyof continue developing young drivers careers at the highest level and at areasonable cost with the aim of creating an equal championship on and off trackwhere everything is done by and for teams and drivers.

Eurocup-3 provide the drivers withthe opportunity to showcase their talents in front of teams with proven recordsin top single-seaters categories, competing on some of the most challenging andrenowned circuits in the world.

The car, built to the highest safetystandards, is a Tatuus F3-T318 chassis mounting a new tailor-made F1 look-likeAerokit that will enable the Eurocup-3 car to be properly up-to-date.

The Autotecnica built engine is theheart of this F3-T318 with a 270hp, four-cylinder turbocharged Alfa Romeo1750cc engine with an extra 25HP boost reserved for the push-to- pass systemthat will ease overtaking on track for the sake of a greater show.

Both series run in tandem five timesin 2024 (Portimao, Paul Ricard, Motorland, Jerez & Barcelona) with F4Spanish Championship confirming twenty one races over seven rounds while season2 of Eurocup-3 will consist in sixteen races over eight rounds.
