On April 11th and 12th, Circuit Paul Ricard welcomed 37,892 spectators for the opening of the 2026 GT World season. Over 150 GT cars entered across four series delivered an intense spectacle, complemented by a particularly rich entertainment offering for the public.
At the heart of the paddock, the Fan Village (expanded for this 2026 edition) proved to be a true gathering point, featuring food stalls, shops, a giant screen and numerous activities. Spectators enjoyed a festive atmosphere with a DJ set by DJ Sibe and a fireworks display at sunset. Autograph sessions, paddock access and a post-race pit walk gave fans the chance to get up close to drivers and cars. A Lamborghini exhibition, bringing together iconic models and modern supercars, also made its mark on the weekend.
On Saturday, in ideal weather conditions and before a record crowd, Lance Stroll made his GT debut while Max Verstappen was also present with his team. The flagship 6-hour GT World Challenge race was won by Nicki Thiim (Comtoyou Racing) with just 10 minutes to go.
Alongside the endurance competition, spectators were also treated to sprint races from the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, the GT4 European Series and the new GT3 Revival Series.
In total, over 10 hours of racing took place across the weekend, with 13 manufacturers represented. It was a successful start to the season!
