The Bol d'Or, the oldest of the 24-hour races, returned to the Circuit Paul Ricard this weekend for its 87th edition. Yoshimura SERT Motul completed a one-two in the FIM Endurance World Championship, winning the Bol d'Or in an epic duel for the EWC title.
The programme was completed by the traditional Bol d'Argent and Bol Classic events, the Yamaha R7 European Superfinale and, in a world first, a maxi-trail race, the MJ S.A Race.
This new edition of the Bol d'Or, the flagship event at the Circuit Paul Ricard since 1978, attracted 71,000 spectators, more than the 2023 edition.
This year, the 71,000 spectators attended the test sessions from Thursday onwards, as well as the festivities that had been prepared for them on the circuit: autograph sessions in front of the stands, an exhibition village, shops, motorbike stunt shows, motorbike ball, trials, the Mountain E-Park, rock concerts, fireworks and even a jet ski show on the circuit's lake.
During the 87th Bol d'Or, the Circuit Paul Ricard once again welcomed the children of ‘Cœur de Pilote’, the circuit's partner association which offers sick children the chance to experience unforgettable moments at the heart of the competition. The children and their families were able to visit the pits and watch the start of the endurance race.
The races would not have been possible without the volunteer marshals recruited by the Circuit Paul Ricard: 520 marshals ensured the safety of the drivers during these 4 days of events.
See you in 15 days' time at the Circuit Paul Ricard for the final of the French Superbike Championship!
