The Circuit Paul Ricard once again hosted the second round of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) on May 3rd and 4th. Also featured on the weekend's schedule were races from the Ligier European Series and the Michelin Le Mans Cup.
Bringing together 44 cars, 10 manufacturers, and 4 categories, the 4 Hours of Le Castellet was the final round before the 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, taking place on June 14th and 15th.
On Sunday, May 4th at 12:00 PM, swimmers Camille Lacourt and Grégory Mallet waved the green flag, launching the race in celebration of the union of sports. Students from the French Karting School represented France during the rendition of “La Marseillaise” at the traditional pre-race ceremony.
Mathys Jaubert crossed the checkered flag at the end of an action-packed 4 Hours of Le Castellet at the wheel of the No. 18 Oreca-Gibson. The French team IDEC Sport claimed its first ELMS victory on home soil, finishing just 1.2 seconds ahead of the second-place team. Jaubert joined teammates Jamie Chadwick and Daniel Juncadella on the top step of the podium, in the team’s 10th year of existence.
French driver Lilou Wadoux crossed the line just 0.305 seconds ahead of the No. 63 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG driven by Germany’s Fabien Schiller. Driving the No. 50 Ferrari 296 for Richard Mille AF Corse, Wadoux secured the LMGT3 class victory for her team.
Attracting over 24,000 spectators, the ELMS weekend was also highlighted by the first “Rooftop Party” of the 2025 season at Circuit Paul Ricard. Announced as sold out, the evening was energized by DJ Marie Prieux, where house music fans enjoyed a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere shared by the DJ.
