15th Sunday Ride Classic - MAY 18 AND 19, 2024
Sunday Ride Classic at the Circuit Paul Ricard: the 15th edition of all emotions.
A major event in the historic motorcycle calendar, for the past 15 years the Sunday Ride Classic at the Circuit Paul Ricard has brought together the whole motorcycle world: the world's biggest classic motorcycle endurance race, 7 historic Grand Prix grids, an impressive number of motorcycles in the paddocks and parking lots of the Circuit Paul Ricard, themed exhibitions including a unique ELF expo, the celebration of exceptional anniversaries: 25 years of the French Voxan motorcycle, 30 years of the legendary Ducati 916, 50 years of the Yamaha-Agostini association, 40 years of Christian Sarron's world title, autograph sessions, paddocks and boxes accessible to all, a modern motorcycle show with motorcycles for test rides.
If the SRC brings together all the generations of motorcycles from 1970 to the present day, this is also true of its spectators, as evidenced by the long queues for the autograph sessions. The SRC's audience is intergenerational, ranging from the older generation who saw the Grand Prix champions crowned and wanted to have photos and archive documents signed, to the new generation who admire these 2-wheeled legends and immortalize their encounters with selfies.
Among the riders gathered at the Circuit Paul Ricard : King Agostini, who at 81 remains the most successful motorcycle racer in the history of the world championship (15 titles) and didn't hesitate to get back in the saddle for several demonstrations, Christian Sarron, Raymond Roche, Didier De Radiguès, Stéphane Chambon, Régis Laconi, Philippe Coulon, Alain Michel, Hubert Rigal, Thierry Espié, Timothée Monnot, Pierrick Paget, Luis d'Antin, Alan Techer, Alain Genoud, Jean-Pierre Oudin, Eric Saul, Philippe Monneret, Christian Lavieille... All took the time to chat with fans, and were delighted to be back on track at Le Castellet.
The weekend brought together 38,000 enthusiasts, 30% more than the record edition of 2023.
