Two weeks after the Bol d'Or with the best motorbike endurance riders, the French speed champions were crowned this weekend at the Great Final on the Circuit Paul Ricard, organised by the Fédération Française de Motocyclisme in conjunction with the Moto-Club of the Circuit Paul Ricard.
The elite of French speed racers gathered on the short 3.8km track to close the French season in Superbike, Supersport 600 and 300, European Bike, Moto 4 and Moto 5, Objectif Grand Prix (OGP) and Side-Cars.
The 200 top French riders put on a great show for the many spectators who came to watch the races free of charge.
The Superbike final crowned Kenny Foray for the 4th time. The official BMW rider held off his Honda CBO rivals Mike Di Meglio (2022 Endurance World Champion) and Alan Techer (2018 Endurance World Champion and winner of Race 1 this weekend), as well as outsiders Matthieu Gines (2020 and 2021 Superbike Champion and winner of Race 2 on a Yamaha) and Jeremy Guarnoni (2019 Superbike Champion).
The paddock, which was open to the public free of charge all weekend, was packed to the rafters on Sunday as the Indian summer returned, and spectators were given exceptional access to the pit lane to meet the riders at autograph sessions in front of their garages.
The parades organised by volunteers from the Moto-Club of the Circuit Paul Ricard delighted several hundred bikers, who were able to launch their bikes at moderate speed around the Var circuit.
