You're familiar with track marshals, but there's also an extrication team at racing events, whose role is to remove the driver from the vehicle as carefully as possible, without aggravating any injuries, particularly to the spine.

Whether it's a GT, a Proto, a single-seater or even a racing truck, the extraction team is trained on all types of vehicle.

The Circuit Paul Ricard has welcomed around a hundred European extrication specialists, who have passed the tests required to obtain FIA homologation for a further 2 years.
